Privacy Policy for FollowUp
Effective date: May 19, 2026
Overview
FollowUp is designed as a local-first iPhone app. The app helps you manage relationship reminders, interaction history, relationship notes, and generated conversation context.
Data Stored by the App
FollowUp may store contact names, optional links to iOS Contacts, optional avatar images, social circles, relationship kinds, interaction logs, notes, generated summaries, memory items, and icebreaker suggestions.
Local Storage
FollowUp stores app data locally on your device using Apple platform storage. The app does not operate a server account system and does not send your relationship data to a developer-run backend.
Contacts
If you grant Contacts access, FollowUp uses that permission only to help you import or connect people from your device contacts. Contact access is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
On-Device Intelligence
FollowUp may use Apple on-device Foundation Models features to generate relationship summaries, memory items, and icebreaker suggestions. These features are intended to run on device using the information stored in the app.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, FollowUp may schedule local reminders for follow-up tasks. These notifications are generated by the app on your device.
Data Sharing
FollowUp does not sell your personal data. The app does not share your relationship data with third-party advertising networks or analytics services.
Deleting Data
You can delete app data by removing contacts or interactions within the app where supported, or by deleting the app from your device.
Changes
This policy may be updated as FollowUp changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
